Immediate past Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has said that he is ready to settle with Rivers governorship hopeful, Sen. Magnus Abe.
Amaechi made this known during a press briefing in Port Harcourt, Today.
The former minister answered in the affirmative when asked if he would agree to a settlement with Sen. Magnus Abe.
According to him, he would speak with aggrieved members who contested the governorship primary of the party, adding that there are bound to be disagreement anytime there is a transition.
On the allegation that he sold assets belonging to the state government: the former governor said everything done followed due process.
He noted that the panel set up by the Rivers State Government cannot indict him, as it is only a court of competent jurisdiction that has the right to do so.
Raecting to the nomination of Hon. Odum Odi as a minister from Rivers State, Amaechi said President Buhari nominated Odim and not him.
On if the APC would appear on the ballot in next year’s election in the state: He said they have gone past that stage, noting that that party would be on the ballot.
He urged party members to work for the success of the APC at all levels in the 2023 general elections.
