The lawmaker representing Tai/Eleme/Oyigbo Federal Constituency in Rivers State, Chisom Dike, who yesterday, announced his defection to the All Progressives Congress, has explained why he dumped the PDP.
Dike, in a chat with journalists, shortly after his move said he could no longer remain in a party where one man decides everything that happens.
He said divisions and internal wranglings in the party, both at the National and state levels also necessitated his move.
He said the crises rocking the PDP, has no end and does not portend hope and future for members of the party.
According to him, during the party’s last congresses, he was not allowed to make any input, adding that nobody cares about you.
Dike, explained that he joined the APC, so his constituency would not be left out of the political scene in 2023.
In addition, the lawmaker said the APC, has a leadership structure that is interactive and engaging unlike the PDP.
