Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, says the only local government chairmen he can give credit are Hon. Samuel Nwanosike of Ikwerre and Hon. Rowland Sekibo of Akuku Toru local government areas.
The Governor, who made this known in a statement few days ago, said it is sad that some local government chairmen have nothing to show, for the years they have spent in office.
He said: “I don’t how i can be a Chairman and the Governor doesn’t come to Commission any project in my area.”
“The only persons I can give credit is Ikwerre (Nwanosike Samuel), and Akuku Toru (Rowland Sekibo),” he added.
He called on the newly elected chairmen to leave legacies behind, by providing the dividends of democracy to their people.
