Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has said that his administration is seeking a law that will provide comfortable accommodation for judicial officers on retirement.
Wike, disclosed this during a meeting with the leadership of SUN Newspapers at Government House Port Harcourt, on Monday.
He said his administration is committed to the welfare of judicial officers in the state.
Wike, stated that the reason is to ensure that, while in service, the judicial officers can concentrate on their jobs without cutting corners and avoid corrupt practices.
Meanwhile some stakeholders have wondered why the Governor is showing what they described as “too much kind gesture” to judicial officers.
Some have accused him of doing all of that to get favourable judgements at the law courts.
