Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike says he owes nobody an apology for commending President, Muhammadu Buhari for approving and paying funds owed the Niger Delta states since 1999.
Wike in a statement at the weekend said if Buhari had not released the funds it would have been difficult for him to do all that he did in the state.
He stated that though Buhari has not done well in many areas, he did well in releasing the funds.
“I have no apology to anybody. Today, Wike did this and that project. Look if Buhari did not release the money — from 1999, which my party did not even release — I won’t have done what I did,” he said.
“I don’t care. I got the money. I’m not a fan of Buhari. He has not done well in so many areas but with this payment of money, he did well,” he added.
Recall that Gov. Wike had during the commissioning of the Nabo Graham Douglas Law School commended President Buhari for the gesture.
