Father of Uduak Akpan accused of raping and killing a job seeker Iniubong Umoren, Frank Akpan says his son deserves whatever punishment that will be meted out to him.
Mr Frank in a chat with journalists while his son was been paraded by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command, on Friday, said he is dissappointed at his son.
He noted that he was ready to accept whatever punishment given to his son, for the crime, even if it means taking his life.
Mr Frank also stated that he never believed such a thing could happen to him because he brought his children up in a righteous way.
“Its just unfortunate that this had to happen. I never knew that this is what he does and I’m not in any way involved in this particular act,” he said.
“I’m not happy about what my child has done. I don’t even believe this can happen to me after all the years of toiling to send them to school and ensure they get the best,” he added.
