US Department of Justice has announced that Nigerian Instagram Big Boy Ramon Olorunwa Abbas popularly known as Ray Hushpuppi, faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Special Agent Andrew John Innocenti made this known in a statement released yesterday.
Ramon Abbas aka Hushpuppi and his friend Woodberry were recently arrested for financial fraud by the Interpol in UAE. They are facing criminal charges for allegedly conspiring to launder hundreds of millions of dollars from business email compromise (BEC) frauds and other financial scams.
Hushpuppi and his friend were recently extradited to the US by the Dubai Police. He is said to have defrauded over a million persons of the sum of N168 billion.
