How to obtain your International Passport in 5 Simple Steps

The Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo launched the International Passport Automation System on Monday, January 8th following its successful demonstration held last week Friday.

Nigerian applicants that desire passports with 5 years validity, 32 pages are to pay twenty-five thousand naira only, while those that prefer passports with 10 years validity, 64 pages are to pay seventy thousand naira only.

Meanwhile, overseas applicants who desire passports with 5 years of validity, 32 pages are to pay One Hundred and Thirty USD, while applicants with preference for passports with 10 years of validity, 64 pages are to pay Two hundred and thirty USD only. Applications are to be made at https//passport.immigration.gov.ng

Below are five simple steps to follow and get your International Passport

Step 1

Proceed to the official website passport.immigration.gov.ng, fill in your NIN to auto-fill your data from NIMC

Step 2

Complete other data fields required.

Step 3

Upload your passport photograph that meets ICAO standards and other supporting documents

Step 4

Walk into an immigration office for your biometric capture

Step 5

Your passport is ready for collection within two weeks. Congratulations!
