The House of Representatives has announced that they will be suing the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio. This is for failing to make public the names of house members he alleged got contracts from the NDDC.
Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila made this known Today, on the floor of the house.
He said, “This morning, I asked the clerk of the house of representatives to engage the services of legal counsel, and instruct them to initiate a criminal complaint of perjury against the minister,” Gbajabiamila said.
Akpabio had alleged while appearing before the house investigative panel probing the financial misappropriation in the commission that 60 percent of contracts were awarded to lawmakers.
