Suspected hoodlums have reportedly taken over the Benin-Sapele Road, extorting motorists.
An eyewitness and motorist who is currently stuck on the road confirmed the incident to Elanhub Media.
According to her, the hoodlums are harassing and extorting motorists, and that the incident has caused panic and heavy traffic on the road.
Relevant security agencies are advised to swing into action and ensure the protection of lives and property on the road.
It is yet to be confirmed if the incident is connected to the #EndBadGovernance protest currently ongoing.
