The Rivers State Police Command says the leader of Etche legislative arm, Hon. Blackson Nwanyanwu accused of physically assaulting his sister-in-law in Umu Alu, Etche LGA, has honoured its invitation.
Spokesperson of the state police command, Nnamdi Omoni who made this known in a chat with journalists yesterday, said upon interrogation, Hon. Blackson denied assaulting the woman while stating that he is innocent of the allegations.
He noted that the command has also asked him to invite his siblings alleged to have joined him in the attack for the continuation of investigations.
SP Omoni, equally disclosed that they visited the victim in the hospital where she is currently been treated and is responding to treatment.
He further stated that Mrs. Love Nwanyanwu would also be invited in due time to give her own account of the incident.
