Women of Evekwu community in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, have threatened to take laws into their hands if nothing is urgently done to save them from incessant attacks from herdsmen.
The women, gave the warning during a protest in the community on Wednesday.
The women threatened to deploy other means that will ensure their safety and that of their crops.
The protesters who carried placards with different inscriptions stormed the Rumuji Police Division and the Palace of their Paramount ruler.
The women complained of how cows have destroyed their crops” leaving them and their families with “hunger”.
They called on government at all levels as well as security agencies, to prevail on the herdsmen to “steer clear” from their farmland.
