Some passengers have been feared dead after an helicopter shot at a local boat heading to Bonny from Port Harcourt, on Thursday.
An eyewitness said the local boat was conveying passengers and foodstuffs to Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State.
He said the helicopter came down close to the boat and shot at it multiple times which led to the death of the driver and some passengers.
“The local boat that just left here to Bonny, within the Treasure Island area, a chopper or I will call it a flight helicopter, just came behind, went very low and started shooting at the wooden boat,” he said.
The state Police Command and other security agencies are yet to confirm the incident.
