Some residents of Iloabuchi Road in Diobu, Port Harcourt are counting their losses after their buildings were de-roofed by a whirlwind during the downpour this evening.
The affected residents in a chat with us expressed shock, adding that they have not witnessed such incident before.
An occupant of one of the affected buildings said he and his children were inside their house when their roof was blown away and the ceiling collapsed on them.
He described the incident as a “miracle” as he and his children came out unhurt.
Another resident said she and her children were sitting outside when their roof collapsed and that her properties were destroyed
Eyewitnesses say the incident caused havoc in the area as residents scampered for safety.
We gathered that properties worth millions were destroyed.
