Heavily Armed Gunmen Hijack Two Passenger Buses In Rivers

Two passenger buses have reportedly been hijacked by heavily armed gunmen in Rivers State.

The incident, occurred on Monday evening along the Degema axis of the East/West road.

The buses were heading to Degema from Port Harcourt City Local Government Area.

Sources say the gunmen shot sporadically in the air as locals scampered for safety.

The Rivers State Police Command is yet to react to the incident. Efforts to reach Spokesperson of the command, DSP. Grace Koko were not successful.
