A tragic incident occurred in Eneka, within the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, where an eight-month-old baby died in a fire outbreak on Monday.
According to reports, the fire originated in a self-contained building and quickly spread to two additional structures. Eyewitnesses recounted that the baby’s mother bravely rushed into the burning house to attempt a rescue. However, when she emerged, she discovered that her baby had already succumbed to the flames and subsequently fainted from the shock.
Residents were able to extinguish the fire, but the cause of the blaze remains unknown.
