The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Arch. Tonye Cole on Friday, visited the governorship candidate of Labour party in the state, Mrs. Beatrice Itubo who is currently down with an ailment.
Sources say Itubo spent 2 weeks at the hospital due to a knee injury she sustained while planning for her party’s campaign in Port Harcourt.
Cole who went with some of his party’s stakeholders wished the NLC chairperson quick recovery.
Itubo on her part commended Cole for the kind gesture despite being her opponent in the forthcoming governorship election.
Recall that Presidential candidate of the Labour party Peter Obi yesterday apologized to Itubo over his failure to visit her when he visited Port Harcourt few days ago to commission a project on the invitation of Gov. Nyesom Wike.
According to him, he was not informed of her ailment and wished her quick recovery
