The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) has expressed worry over the incessant withdrawal of students from school by their parents/guardians due to the current economic hardship
Dr Samira Jibir – NAPPS President, in a statement said parents now find it difficult to pay tuition amid the economic hardship.
According to her, everybody is being affected by the hardship, including teachers and school proprietorsm
“Everybody is affected by the economic hardship, you can’t force parents to continue having their children in a school they couldn’t afford.
“Sometimes, we are forced to reach a compromise to retain the children. Some schools had to stop transportation because of the fuel price hike.
“We cannot stop any parent from withdrawing his/her kids. We can only hope things get better,” she said.
