The Rivers State Government will on Monday, October 23 2023 honor Promise Wosu aka ‘Wene_port’ for reportedly completing a 606km marathon from Lagos to Port Harcourt in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for longest distance covered on foot.
Gov. Sim Fubara made this known when he received Wene and his supporters at Government House Port Harcourt on Saturday.
“As a government, we will continue to encourage you and others who are doing positive things. By Monday, Wosu will meet with the Chief of Staff, Government House, who will bring him to my office where I will do a special thing for him,” he said.
Wosu hails from Omudioga in Emohua local government area of Rivers State.
