Unknown gunmen have reportedly killed three persons and abducted two others in Ubeta community in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State on Wednesday.
Chief, Million Jonathan, paramount ruler of the community, confirmed the incident in a statement yesterday.
According to him the deceased were cultists, which suggests a case of reprisal attack.
He also said the two abducted persons are shop owners and are still with their abductors.
He explained that gunmen have been terrorizing the area for months without government’s intervention, as many indigenes have deserted the community.
The Police is yet to confirm the incident.
