There are reports that unconfirmed number of soldiers were killed this morning in Omelema in Abua/Odua Local Government Area, Rivers State.
This is barely 24 hours after Security Operatives were killed at Omagwa in Ikwerre LGA.
The soldiers were said to be attached to a staff of an oil company who was lodged in a hotel in the area.
Sources say fear have gripped residents of the Community over the incident, which they described as barbaric.
Details of the report are still skecty but a senior official of the council confirmed the killing to our correspondent.
Efforts to reach the Spokesperson of the Army 6 division, Charles Ekeocha proved abortive as he is yet to respond to calls.
