Mrs Josephine Amaechi, Mother of a final year student of the Rivers State University, who was killed by another student has alleged that the gun found on her son was planted on him.
The police, had in a statement alleged that a pistol was found on Uzondu Chimena, the deceased student.
Mrs Josephine, in a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt, on Tuesday said if her son was in possession of the firearm when he was shot, it would have been discovered before he was taken to the Police station.
She said the Police should explain how the gun got into her son’s private area, when he was taken to the station, as he was not a cultist.
Also elder brother of the deceased, Chukwuebuka Uzondu alleged that the Police officer in charge of the case told him that the gun found on his late brother belongs to the Police.
