Justice Adolphous Enebeli of a state high court sitting in Port Harcourt has warned officers at the Port Harcourt correctional centre to stop beating-up inmates.
The judge issued the warning yesterday during the trial of alleged serial killer, Gracious David West accused of killing girls in hotels across the state.
This was after the suspect Gracious David West complained to the trial judge that he and some other inmates were mercilessly beaten up on regular basis by the warders for no just cause.
The judge adjourned the trial to August 14, 2020.
