Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has assured residents that his administration is committed to eliminating reliance on multinational companies for fire emergency responses.
Governor Fubara made this known during an inspection of three key fire service stations: Mile 1, Rumuodomaya, and Borokiri. He revealed that additional fire trucks would soon be delivered to bolster the state’s emergency response capabilities.
Highlighting plans to revamp the fire service for rapid and effective operations, the governor expressed satisfaction with the ongoing upgrades at the facilities
He also directed the contractor to ensure the stations are fully operational and ready for commissioning by the first week of March 2025.
