The Rivers State Government is pleased to announce that the activities marking the 64th Independence Day Celebration in the State will hold as follows:

JUMA’AT PRAYER

Date: Friday, September 27, 2024
Time: 1:00pm
Venue: Rivers State Central Mosque, 208 Niger Street, Port Harcourt Township.

INTER-DENOMINATIONAL CHURCH THANKSGIVING SERVICE:

Date: Sunday, September 29, 2024
Time: 10:00am
Venue: St Paul’s Cathedral Diobu, Port Harcourt.

INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE:

Date: Tuesday, October 1, 2024
Time: 10:00am
Venue: Government House Parade Ground, Port Harcourt.

His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, Governor of Rivers State, will inspect the Guard of Honour.

Please invited guests are requested to be seated before His Excellency arrives for all the events.
