The Rivers State Government is pleased to announce that the activities marking the 63rd Independence Day Celebration in the State will commence with Jumaàt Prayer on Friday 29th September, 2023.
Other activities slated for the celebration are:
Inter-denominational Church Thanksgiving Service

Venue: St Paul’s Cathedral Diobu, by Rebisi Flyover, Port Harcourt.
Grand Finale – Independence Day Parade/March Past
Date: Monday 2nd October 2023
Time: 10:00 AM
Venue: Sharks Football Stadium, Alfred Diette-Spiff Sports Complex, Port Harcourt Township.
His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS, Executive Governor of Rivers State, will inspect the Guard of Honour.
