Rivers State Governor, Barr, Nyesom Wike has reportedly suspended Senator, George Thompson Sekibo as leader of the People’s Democratic Party in Ogu/Bolu Local Government Area of the state.
This comes weeks after some elders of the party were removed as leaders of the party in their respective LGAs.
Gov. Wike had in a statement accused the leaders of working against him after they failed to clinch the Governorship ticket of the party.
Thompson Sekibo currently serves as the Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate.
He is one of the leaders and elders of the People’s Democratic Party in Rivers State.
