The Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Wike has taken a swipe at the legal luminary, Femi Falana SAN for not speaking up against the recent incident involving the Ondo State CP, Bolaji Salami and the Deputy Governor of the state, Agbola Ajayi accusing him of playing ethnic politics.
Wike while reacting to the viral video showing the CP, trying to stop the Deputy Governor from leaving the state government house, said the legal luminary will not condemn the act since it is not Rivers state. He only speak up when it concerns Rivers state, Wike noted
The governor slammed Falana for only speaking on things that suits him while, he keeps silent on things that do not suit him. “When it concerns Rivers state, he comes up to cite constitutional provisions, saying things he doesn’t even know,” he narrated.
Wike, furthermore challenged Human Rights Activists in the country to shun being one-sided and speak up against recent ills in the country, as they have been silent on these issues.
