Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has said that developmental projects are meaningless and are of no use if they are not beneficial to the people.

Wike stated this during the foundation laying stone of the Sokoto State University Teaching Hospital at Kasarawa, Sokoto State yesterday.

The governor who noted that development differs stated that what a particular state needs may be entirely different from what another state need.

“So many people do not understand that development differ. What is important is, what do the people need. What the people of Rivers State need may not be what the people of Sokoto need and people do not understand that,” he said.

He urged political leaders to carry out projects that directly affects the lives of the people.
