Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has said his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, is 70 percent sure of winning the forthcoming governorship election in Edo state slated for September 2020.
The outspoken Rivers Governor equally confirmed that all the South-South governors will be in Edo State during the September governorship election to support Governor Godwin Obaseki. This is to forestall any form of intimidation from any quarters.
Wike who made this known in a chat with journalists yesterday, said the PDP has resolved its problem in order to avoid the irreparable crisis rocking the ruling APC.
He also claimed that the APC would want to manipulate the process because they know they cannot emerge victorious. “We are not sure that APC has a candidate. How can they say they have a candidate when their house is not in order? You know that by tomorrow they would push the blame to the judiciary,” he asserted.
The September Edo Guber poll is a contest between the incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki of the PDP, Pastor Ize Iyamu of the APC and a few other aspirants from other parties.
