Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has lifted the curfew imposed in some areas of the state namely: Mile 1, Mile 2, Iloabuchi, Emenike and Ikokwu areas of Port Harcourt as well as Rumukurushi in Obio/Akpor Local Government.
Governor Wike, However, Retained the curfew in Oyigbo Local Government and Ikokwu motor spare market until further notice. He went ahead to thank non-Indigenes in the state for their contribution towards the political and economic growth of the state.
The Governor of the state further empathically stated that he has signed an Executive Order banning all activities by the Indigenous Peoples Organisation of Biafra IPOB.
