Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has been honoured as Hallmark Newspaper’s Man of The Year 2020 for his numerous achievements in infrastructural development.
The Newspaper which described Wike as an example of true democracy in Nigeria said he was deserving of the honour for his numerous achievements in the state.
A member of the newspaper’s advisory board, Tola Adeniyi, in a letter to the governor described him as a catalyst whose views influences decision-making in the PDP nationally.
He said the choice of Wike as Man of the Year, was not only informed by his remarkable success in Rivers State, but mostly for becoming the epitome of good governance and true democracy.
“Findings from our team of editors reveal that there is hardly any facet of life which your government has neglected. Most remarkably, your excellency has remained steadfast and committed to the ethos of good governance despite the overwhelming and sometimes contrived challenges,” the letter to Wike read.
