The Rivers State Government has donated the sum of sixty-five million naira to Rotary Club of Port Harcourt, to build a vocational center to train Rivers youths and windows in different skills.
The Governor made the donation when the leadership of the club, paid him a courtesy visit at Government House, Port Harcourt, on Friday.
The club, led by its Vice President, Rotarian Obiageli Ejezie had earlier informed the Governor of their intention to build a skill acquisition center at Trans-Amadi, to train youths and windows in the state.
Gov. Wike who commended the Organization for the move, advised them to ensure the money is being used to train Rivers people.
The club, during the meeting, also honoured the Governor with the award of Good Governance, for his numerous projects across the state.
