Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has said that contractors who fail to abide by the contractual agreement in handling projects in the state will be sanctioned.
Wike who made this known after inspecting ongoing projects in the state said he would ensure the right things are done at all times.
Governor Wike who has been on a visiting spree of numerous projects currently ongoing in the state to check the level of work done said COVID-19 should not be used as an excuse by contractors not to deliver projects. It is unacceptable, he noted.
Wike generally expressed satisfaction on the level of work done on the projects visited. He, however, noted that the 5000 capacity auditorium at the National Youth Service Corps orientation camp in Nonwa Gbam Tai will be reviewed because the original plan was altered.
