The Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has appointed Nollywood star Mercy Johnson-Okojie as Special Adviser on Public Engagement and Advocacy.
The appointment was disclosed in a statement released on Thursday by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Ikhilor.
According to the statement, the governor approved Johnson-Okojie’s appointment as part of ongoing efforts to enhance communication between the government and the public, as well as to promote awareness of state policies and programmes.
The communiqué stated that the appointment takes immediate effect, noting that it is aimed at strengthening public engagement and advocacy initiatives across the state
