Days after the Appeal Court ruling which annulled the ruling of a state high court restraining Amaewhule and others from parading themselves as members of the Rivers State Assembly, Gov Sim Fubara has gone ahead to recognize the Victor Oko-Jumbo-led assembly as the legitimate one.
He made this known during the swearing in of Hon. Emmanuel Fubara as State commissioner for Finance.
This was after he had sent his name to the Oko-Jumbo-led assembly for screening.
According to him, in the eyes of the law Amaewhule and his men were no longer members of the House as they lost their seats the day they defected to another party.
He noted that he will continue to do what is right in the eyes of the law without fear or favour.
