The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State has indicated interest to contest the forthcoming local government elections in the state.
Acting Chairman of the state, Hon. Tony Okocha who made this known in a statement said Governor Siminalayi Fubara has been informed by the party that the LG elections must be conducted at the expiration of the tenure of the current chairmen.
According to him, there would be no room for a caretaker committee for the local government councils.
