The Rivers State Government has approved the 33.5 meters Elele-Umudioga-Egbeda-Ubina-Ikiri-Omoku road.
The approval was made on Tuesday at the Executive Council Chamber of Government House, Port Harcourt, presided over by Gov. Sim Fubara.r
The State Executive Council deliberated and approved the N80.8billion dual carriage road awarded to Craneburg Construction Company.
Addressing journalists after the meeting, the Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Senibo Joe Johnson said the road project will be funded from the state’s savings rather than borrowing, adding that the strategy will also be applied to the Trans Kalabari road.
The meeting was the sixth State Executive Council meeting to be held by the current administration.
