Global Organization of Oriented Group Language of Earth has launched a new feature that allows people identify a song by humming and whistling the tune on your mobile device, even if you don’t know the lyrics of the song.
The senior product manager Krishna Kumar, disclosed this in an announcement on Thursday October 15 2020 . According to reports , the technology to match tones through humming has been in existence for more than a decade, and was a staple in the music app Sound Hound for some years now.
The new tool only works on mobile phones and not nest speakers or Google home, according to the statement.
To explore the new feature, one needs to open the latest version of the Google app or Google Search widget on his/her phone, then, tap the Microphone icon and say “what’s this song?” You can also tap the Search a song button. Finally, start humming, singing or whistling the tune to get what you want
