Former Nigerian President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has been awarded the 2025 Founder’s Sunhak Peace Prize, a prestigious honor presented by the Sunhak Peace Prize Foundation in Seoul, South Korea.
Jonathan becomes the first African leader and the third overall recipient of the Founder’s Prize, following former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen.
The Sunhak Peace Prize Committee commended Jonathan for his dedication to peace, recognizing his pro-democracy advocacy and mediation efforts across Africa.
