The People’s Democratic Party in Rivers State has reacted to the victory of its guber candidate, Sim Fubara and other candidates of the party.
Chairman of the party, Amb. Desmond Akawor said the victory of the party in last Saturday’s governorship election in the state was made possible with the help of God and not with the aid of thugs or guns.
He said this during a prayer session at the party’s secretariat along Aba Road in Port Harcourt.
According to him, Rivers state will remain a PDP state, adding that the leadership prowess and performance of Governor Nyesom Wike also played a pivotal role in the successful outing of the party and its candidates.
He warned National assembly members-elect against turning their back at the PDP and its leadership in the state when they resume office.
