The Rivers state government has called on religious organizations in the state to join in the fight against malaria.
The state Commissioner for Health, Professor Princewill Chike said this in a statement to mark this year’s World Malaria Day.
He also advised residents to sleep under mosquito treated nets and always get tested before taking anti-malaria drugs.
Chike, who said Governor, Nyesom WIke has taken practical steps to upgrade healthcare facilities across the state, challenged pregnant women on the need to take seriously their antenatal and the preventive therapy for malaria.
