Lawyer to alleged fraudster, Ramon Abbas popularly known as Hushpuppi, Gal Pissetzky has said that his client is a legitimate businessman and not guilty of all the charges he is being accused of.
Gal in an interview with Forbes Today, stated that Hushpuppi did not take part in any scam or fraud and that he operates an authentic Instagram account.
He also stated that Huspuppi made his money legitimately through real estate and his job includes promoting brands as an Instagram personality.
“He’s an entrepreneur. He has real estate involvement … [he’s] an Instagram personality. He was promoting brands and that’s how he was very legitimately making his money,” Gal asserted.
Hushpuppi was arrested by the Interpol in UAE on charges of money-laundering, cyber fraud, hacking, criminal impersonating, scamming individuals, banking fraud and identity theft. He has since been extradited to the US for prosecution
