The Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, says funds and logistics have been released to the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) to guarantee the smooth conduct of the forthcoming local government election.
Ibas disclosed this on Thursday while receiving members of the House of Representatives Ad-Hoc Committee on Emergency Rule Implementation in Port Harcourt.
He noted that political stability is gradually returning to the state, attributing the progress to ongoing reconciliation initiatives and the readiness of political stakeholders to work together towards lasting peace.
