The 2023 governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Tonye Cole, has said Governor Siminalayi Fubara will wield no powers when reinstated to office.
Speaking on Channels Television, Cole argued that Fubara can no longer take independent decisions as governor without external interference.
He said the governor would have to seek the consent of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, before making key decisions in the state.
Fubara was suspended from office six months ago by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the political crisis in Rivers State. He is expected to be reinstated on Wednesday after the President lifted the state of emergency imposed on the state.
