Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has extended warm Easter greetings to residents of the state, calling on them to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, reconciliation, and unity.
In a goodwill message to mark the Christian celebration of Easter, the governor urged citizens to emulate the example of Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice, he noted, brought forgiveness and reconciliation to humanity.
Fubara described Easter as a sacred season that calls for the promotion of peace, love, and unity among people, stressing the need for collective harmony in building a better society.
He prayed that the season would usher in joy, hope, and renewal for both Rivers State and Nigeria, adding that the resurrection of Christ symbolizes triumph over adversity and a fresh beginning.
“As we celebrate Easter, I extend warm wishes to all Christians in Rivers State. The resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolizes hope, renewal, and triumph over adversity. May this season bring peace, joy, and spiritual growth to our lives,” the governor stated.
The governor also commended the resilience of the Christian community and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering good governance across the state.
He called on residents to continue supporting his administration, as well as the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasizing that sustainable progress can only be achieved through unity and collective effort.
