Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has urged the Board and management of the Nigerian Ports Authority to prioritise the optimisation of the Port Harcourt and Onne Ports, stressing that such efforts would create more jobs, boost economic activity, and strengthen the State’s position in Nigeria’s ease of doing business ranking.
Fubara gave the charge when he hosted members of the Board and Management of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on a courtesy visit to Government House, Port Harcourt on Monday.
He assured the delegation of his administration’s readiness to partner with the NPA in driving infrastructural development and providing the enabling environment that would make Rivers State a hub for maritime and commercial activities.
