The Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has called on eligible voters in Ahoada East and Khana Local Government Areas to participate actively in the bye-elections scheduled for Saturday, February 21, 2026.
Speaking at the Government House in Port Harcourt, the governor described the polls as a “family affair” and encouraged residents to turn out en masse to support candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) contesting for the two vacant seats in the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Onwuka Nzeshi said, Fubara emphasized the importance of peaceful conduct during the exercise, urging voters to remain law-abiding and avoid any actions that could disrupt the process.
“Everybody should be law abiding and avoid doing anything that will disturb the peace during the exercise. It is actually a family election and there is no need for rancour and acrimony,” the governor said.
