Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has reacted to the emergence of former Accountant General of the State, Sim Fubara as the governorship flagbearer of the People’s Democratic Party.
Wike, shortly after the primary on Wednesday, described Fubara’ s emergence as an “act of God.”
According to him, power comes from God, adding that the party now has a candidate and there is nothing anybody can do about it.
Wike recalled that he never knew he would become governor of the state in 2015, just as Fubara never knew he would emerge candidate of the party.
He explained that with what PDP has achieved in the state, Fubara will win the 2023 governorship poll.
Wike boasted that no other party can win Rivers, as they have done nothing for Rivers people.
He called on Rivers people to come together and ensure the party wins the 2023 elections.
