Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has pledged his administration’s commitment to partner with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) to expand job creation and empowerment programmes for youths and women across the state.
Governor Fubara gave the assurance when he received the Director-General of the NDE, Mallam Silas Agara, at the Government House in Port Harcourt. He said the state government would fully support the agency to ensure that more Rivers residents benefit from Federal Government employment initiatives.
The governor commended President Bola Tinubu for his efforts in promoting job creation and economic empowerment, describing such interventions as laudable and deserving of strong collaboration from state governments.
Meanwhile, the NDE has commenced fresh skill-development and empowerment programmes in Rivers State aimed at tackling unemployment and strengthening small and medium-scale enterprises.
